About the project
My research focusses on river governance and especially on collaborative initiatives among stakeholders to maintain floodplains in a harmonize way. This research was started within a two-year lasting program, called Urban Regions in the Delta; Delta East (See movie QR code), funded by the Dutch organization for Scientific research (NWO). Currently, the research is continued in the program of RiverCare (funded by STW) to ultimately answer the main research question; which underlying visions with regard to collaborative governance perceived by stakeholders play a role in sustainably maintaining flood protection and nature values in floodplains? And what kind of recommendations can be drawn based on these insights? Read two-pages overview >>
